What will you be doing?
The Global Health & Safety Manager will co-ordinate, support and advise the Business on all aspects of Health & Safety. They will provide assurance of Health & Safety compliance to the SET through the strategic leadership, governance and effective monitoring of activities across all jurisdictions in which SThree operates.
Key responsibilities would include, but not be limited to:
Establish, manage and monitor standards in Health and Safety activity based on clear data, introducing standardisation, best practice and continuous improvement wherever possible
Regularly update policies, processes, communications, training and systems to ensure all responsibilities associated with Health and Safety in SThree are understood and adhered to.
Ensure a global programme of health and safety training, inspections, audits and checks is established
Establish relevant performance indicators to measure global health and safety compliance
Produce, interpret and communicate performance reports which inform commercially, operationally and financially sound decision-making end ensure appropriate management of Health and Safety risk
Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g. MD’s, HR, Risk) to ensure the Health and Safety approach and processes support optimal performance, employee experience and deliver compliance
Forecast and manage the Health & Safety cost centre expenditure within budget
Establish a process which ensures all contractors/suppliers manage costs and deliver service level agreements
Ensure standards of Health & Safety governance laid down by Group policy are adhered to
Set and agree all contract terms and fee structures for external agents so a robust audit process is in place to sign off contracts within the agreed terms
Ensure SThree meets its statutory obligations in all areas pertaining to health, safety and welfare at work including statutory training and reporting
What skills/experience are we seeking?
Qualified to NEBOSH diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent
Ideally chartered member of IOSH or equivalent
Relevant experience in a Health & Safety/Project management role with responsibility for supplying key business support services
Experience of developing effective relationships and leading teams across multiple locations in a global business
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
Able to confidently influence at all levels both internally and externally

Knowledge of Current Health and Safety legislation
