Salary: £55,742 to £59,701

The Wheatley Group, Scotland’s leading housing, care and property-management group, provides homes and services to over 200,000 people in 17 local authority areas across Central Scotland are inviting applications for the position of Group H&S Manager.
The Group H&S Manager will work in the health and safety team reporting to the Group Health and Safety Lead and managing the health and safety advisors within the team.

You will be responsible for implementing the Group’s health and safety policy and strategy, with respect to people, assets and customers, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation. You will also be responsible for ensuring Group staff are provided with best practice training and appropriate guidance on all health and safety matters. Building strong relationships where communication and co-operation is essential, you must possess strong written and verbal communication skills and be persuasive in your engagement.
You should have a strong track record of delivering health and safety at a senior level in a large complex organisation. Substantial experience of partnership working and engaging with multiple stakeholders across the Group is also necessary, as is a track record in delivering change.
A NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification is essential in addition to being a Chartered Member of IOSH. Previous experience of managing a health and safety team would also be desirable.
This position is a Home Based Agile Working role and whilst predominantly serving Glasgow and the west there will also be occasional travel to Edinburgh and Dumfries and Galloway and our Centres of Excellence.
