Hours: Full time – 35 hours per week/ 70 hours over two weeks (nine-day fortnight)
Salary: £37,185 per annum

The role
We are currently looking to recruit a full time Health and Safety Officer.
The role is full time, 35 hours a week and as with all of our roles, we are happy to talk flexible working arrangements.
In this you will work as part of the Health & Safety and Compliance Team to ensure the organisation’s properties remain safe and secure, comply with all health and safety and legislative requirements, you will also be working with the Compliance Team to ensure the association’s properties remain safe, secure, comply with all legislative requirements and works are completed on time and to budget.
You will assist with the effective management, planning and programming of planned and reactive compliance works across a range of contracts. Working alongside members of the Asset Management Team and operational teams at all levels.
You will provide health and safety advice and support to the organisation; carrying out inspections, managing the incident/accident database and supporting operational teams in delivering a positive health and safety culture. Advising on health and safety risks to employees and our customers.
You will also be responsible to assist with the effective management, planning and programming of planned and reactive compliance works across a range of contracts ensuring works are works are completed on time and to budget. Working alongside members of the Asset Management Team and operational teams at all levels.

To be considered for this role you will need to have:
  • Knowledge of current health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry codes of practice
  • Significant knowledge of statutory compliance legislation and best practice.
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance legislation and best practice
  • Knowledge and experience of information gathering, reporting, and monitoring systems
  • Customer Service Experience
  • KPI setting and performance monitoring
  • Relevant H&S Qualification – Level 3 or above
