As we look to develop our business throughout the UK, we are seeking a health and safety advisor to join our team.

Requirements:

  • Oversite and management of health and safety across one or more construction sites in the UK
  • Preparing risk assessments and method statements for site operations
  • Client liaison and attending regular H&S meetings
  • Carrying out regular site inspections and reviewing practices to determine compliance with RAMS
  • The provision of construction phase fire assessments
  • Lead construction phase H&S audits
  • Promoting behavioural based H&S practices across the workforce
  • Ensuring overall compliance with the company’s OHSAS 18001 & ISO14001
  • Reporting issues and developing recommendations on a timely basis
  • Preparation of RAMS, Tool Box Talks and Inductions

Requirements:

  • NCRQ/NEBOSH general certificate
  • 6-8 years’ experience in the construction industry
  • Knowledge of all major areas of construction activities and CDMR
  • Experience of management of ISO Standard for HSQE
  • A natural leader in the field of health and safety
  • Full knowledge of CDM Regulations
  • A hands-on approach to Health & Safety in order to influence a positive culture and mind-set throughout the workforce
  • Ability to clearly communicate issues to all stakeholders
  • Pro-active and self-motivated with a solid work ethic, consistently achieving goals and meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated ownership of all aspects of the job
  • CSCS card
  • Passion for excellence
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Full Driving License
  • Ability to travel throughout the UK
  • A desire to progress and grow with the company

Desirable:

  • Degree, qualification or diploma in Health and Safety
  • Streetworks SWQR (or willing to acquire this)
