The Faculty of Science and Engineering consists of 2 Schools (totaling 9 Departments), 5 Institutes and 2 off-Campus Facilities. The Faculty Planning, Compliance and Special Projects team is a diverse team of Professional Services staff that supports the Faculty’s Leadership Team in the implementation and ongoing management of its strategic and operational priorities. The team of Safety Advisors supports the Faculty to ensure the highest standards of health, safety and compliance across all areas. ​​​​​​​

The team is looking to appoint a Health, Safety and Compliance Advisor to deliver safety and compliance support and provide assurances to local Management Teams. This is an exciting addition to the current Faculty Safety Team and the role holder’s duties and area of responsibility will be determined by the requirements of each School/Department/Research Institute.

The post holder will be educated to degree level and hold a relevant health and safety qualification. Your previous experience should include a health, safety and compliance role, preferably within a similar higher education and research-focused environment, with an ability to manage a busy and diverse workload.
