An opportunity has arisen for an experienced HSE Manager to define, develop and lead implementation of the UK HSE plan. Reporting to the UK Head of Operations the role will ensure effective planning, communication, training and policy development to drive and embed a proactive Health & Safety culture that puts the health, safety and welfare of all colleagues, visitors and contractors as a first priority.

Key Accountabilities

• Implement the H&S Policy across the UK
• Lead and develop on site H&S Representatives
• Investigation of incidents and accidents
• Audit management systems & communicate findings
• Advise the SLT of forthcoming legislation & implement actions
• Undertake Risk Assessments & advise on control measures
• Review and audit contractor control measures, working closely with Engineering
• Represent Dairygold in with the HSE and other external bodies
• Set and maintain H&S budget
• Develop and deliver mandatory training and instruction
• Ensure adequate numbers of first aiders and fire wardens

Who are we looking for?

• An experienced HSE professional, experienced in manufacturing / engineering environment preferred.
• Relevant professional qualification eg NEBOSH Diploma
• Experience working with the HSE
• Experienced in leading audits
• Delivering effective HSE communication and development activities
