Varied tasks
As our HSE Advisor for Offshore Wind Farms, you will:
- Actively support the key HSE deliverables for projects in the development and construction phase, including the development and implementation of the project’s Construction, Design and Management (CDM) strategy across the project phases, and the HSE Strategy and Plan.
- Effectively interface with key stakeholders across the project to support integration of HSE into planning and activities.
- Build strong relationships with all project teams.
- Assist with the embedding of health and safety requirements in design.
- Provide timely support with contractor HSE management in preparation for site surveys campaigns, FEED studies and construction etc., including support to the contracting process and CDM compliance requirements.
- Support risk and hazard management activities and HSE verification activities.
- Provide audience appropriate HSE advice and coaching on HSE requirements etc.
- Provide hands-on assistance in the development of the joint venture HSE Management System as the projects progress and the HSE performance management and support performance reporting.
Convincing profile
- A master’s degree or the equivalent in safety related discipline, Engineering or Science or comparable experience, (Ideally NEBOSH Diploma, NEBOSH Construction Certificate and Association of Project Safety qualifications).
- You have experience in HSE management for major Offshore Wind Projects from the development and construction phases.
- You possess experience in the implementation and governance of CDM.
- You also have experience with handling HSE risks in a major project or operation and in developing, updating and improving HSE Management Systems.
- You are a strong safety leader who is able to demonstrate compliance consistently by example.
- You are a proven self-starter with the ability to work across project teams.
- You can familiarise yourself with new tasks at a short notice, and do take initiative and ownership.
- Fluency in Business English, German is a plus.
And of course, you are a strong team player with good communication and persuasion skills, who enjoys working within intercultural teams.
Desirable Experience:
- Experience in renewables development projects.
- Broad experience in environmental and social management.
- One team, agile and adaptable mindset.
- Ideally possess knowledge/experience in project management.
