Position: HSE Advisor, Vacancy ref: 81629, Based in: Wick, Business area: Subsea & Conventional, Contract type: Staff, Closing date: 04/04/2023.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and people focused HSE Advisor to join our team at Wester Fabrication Site near Wick on a staff basis. This role will require a flexible approach, with shift and weekend working as required to meet operational needs.

What will you be doing?

The HSE Advisor will provide support, advice and guidance on HSE matters to ALL worksite personnel, including management, through the co-ordination and effective implementation of HSE tools, principles, processes and objectives.

Although there will be office-based elements, this is a site-based role and there will be a requirement to be visible in the various workplaces on site on a regular basis. Additional travel may also be required on occasion to support other sites and projects.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring adequate HSE visibility throughout the worksite and continuously promoting improvement of the HSE culture
  • Promoting and ensuring compliance with Regulatory HSE requirements, Subsea7 Policies and Procedures, and Client HSE requirements
  • Conducting HSE audits and inspections.
  • Preparing and participating in emergency response preparedness exercises
  • Provide personnel with appropriate environmental advice and support, whilst liaising with the regional Environmental Advisor
  • Encourage and monitor company-wide environmental and sustainability strategies
  • Involvement in ongoing projects and operations as required, including delivery of training modules, implementation of key performance indicators and supporting incident investigations.

What experience would we like you to have?

  • Qualifications in relevant HSE disciplines
  • NEBOSH Certificate (Essential)
  • NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 5 in Occupational Health and Safety Practice
  • Member of IOSH
  • Current full UK driving licence
  • Experience in Taproot or similar tool on incident investigation analysis
  • Familiarity with Construction and / or Fabrication Operations
  • Experienced Auditor
