EKFB are looking for a Corporate Safety, Health and Wellbeing Advisor to join their team. The primary focus of this role is to work with the business to implement the requirements of the bespoke Business Management System and ensure compliance with such requirements at site level.
EKFB is a joint venture that brings together international, market leading expertise from four leading civil engineering and construction companies.
Key responsibilities:
This role is focused on looking after all construction elements of the business with overall responsibility for SHW matters relating to the civil engineering and construction activities on site as well as providing support to other related activities at site level.
You will also be involved in the investigation of events arising in the delivery area to which the individual is assigned. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be required to deliver content for corporate and locally created campaigns aimed at improving awareness of SHW matters and improving overall SHW performance.
You will be required to undertake SHW audits of the construction area and, where necessary, of other supporting activities. This position may be required to provide short term holiday cover for onsite SHW staff in other delivery areas.
Skills and qualifications:
- Demonstrable experience of dealing with SHW matters in a Construction environment
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with the onsite Delivery and Operations Support Teams.
- Driving License is essential as this is a mobile role
- Experience of applying and assuring Business Management System requirements for a variety of activities
- Must hold a NEBOSH General Certificate or NEBOSH Construction Certificate (preferred)
- Technician member of IOSH
- CSCS card holder
- Level 5 qualification or higher in OHS (desirable)
- Graduate member of IOSH (desirable)
- Sentinel card holder – PTS minimum (desirable)
