Aston University are seeking to recruit an experienced health and safety advisor to join a forward thinking Health & Safety Team. The University has a staff compliment of around 2,000, a total student body of over 11,000 students, comprising around 9,000 undergraduates and more than 2,000 postgraduates.

As a Health and Safety Advisor, you will work with colleagues with the Estates and Capital Development Department to provide professional advice and assistance to ensure legal compliance and to incorporate best practice into all aspects of estates operations.

You will support the Director of Health, Safety and Business Continuity, to deliver the objectives in the University’s Health and Safety Strategy and drive the continuous improvement of Health and Safety Management throughout the estate. Working closely with the Health and Safety Business Partner for the Estates and Capital Development Department you will deliver a high quality service.

A level 3 qualification in Occupational Health and Safety management in the area of construction is essential as well as membership of IOSH or equivalent professional body.
