Health and Safety Advisor

As Health & Safety Advisor, you’ll maintain the accident and reporting and investigation system, including informing relevant parties of reportable incidents and RIDDOR reporting in a timely manner. You’ll record, collate, and distribute any claim correspondence to relevant members of the Compliance Team and our Insurance Officer, and ensure all documentation and records are kept up to date and are made accessible via centralised records. You’ll manage the Health & Safety inbox, escalating specific emails to members of the Health & Safety and Compliance Team, and manage and update information on the Health & Safety intranet pages. You’ll also liaise with the Learning & Development Team, recording Health & Safety training across the Group and assist the Health & Safety Manager with monitoring budgets.

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold a NEBOSH certificate in Occupational Health & Safety.
• Have experience of Occupational Health & Safety.
• Have experience of working in a Social Housing environment.
• Have a good understanding and experience of IT packages and be comfortable maintaining intranet sites.
• Be able to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
• Have strong interpersonal skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Be able to organise and prioritise work in order to meet deadlines.

Appointment to this role will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service Check, satisfactory references, and possession of a valid Right to Work document.
