Full Job Description

As a Health and Safety Officer, you’ll have operational responsibility for supporting the full range of health, safety and compliance. You’ll provide hands on support to our colleagues, ensuring that we are fully compliant with laws, legislation, ACoPS and guidance appropriate to our operation.

You’ll be based onsite at our National Distribution Centre in Merthyr Tydfil (CF48 4TU) and be required to support the Health and Safety Manager with group wide duties across the UK and ROI.

You’ll need extensive experience of working in a Health and Safety Coordinator/Officer role in a medium to high risk business with demonstrable experience of conducting risk assessments, health and safety training, toolbox talks and safe systems of work.

You’ll be working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, so will need to have excellent communication, negotiation, persuading and influencing skills. It’s also important that you are an excellent networker who is able to promote the health and safety department across the UK and ROI.
