A key management position, the Compliance & Safety Manager is responsible for the Quality and Health & Safety for our MRO site, based in Gloucester. The purpose of the role is to:

  • Ensure the Health and Safety of employees and visitors on-site whilst managing environmental risk associated to onsite processing activities and our compliance to UK Legislation and Safran Group Standards.
  • Ensure that we work in accordance with our Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) and are compliant with our Part 145 regulator obligations. This role is our nominated Compliance Post Holder and will report directly to the Accountable Manager for these activities (as listed in our MOE).

You will work with industry leaders and work with a knowledgeable team on sustainable projects.

What do I need to succeed in the role?

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of working with aviation regulators (CAA, EASA, FAA) and Part 145 regulations. Prior experience of leading audits
  • Awareness of AS9100 assessment tools
  • In-depth knowledge of Landing Gear Overhaul processes and approved maintenance data ie Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM)
  • Internal Audit quality qualification, IRCA preferred
  • Regulatory audit experience Member of CQI or equivalent experience (desired)
  • Knowledge of (and preferably qualified) in NEBOSH
  • Working knowledge of ISO OHSAS 18001, BSI ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 Management Systems and Safran HSE Standards
  • Policy development and management
  • Risk assessment and mitigation
  • Comfortable working and presenting at all levels within the organisation
  • In depth knowledge of problem solving and cause-and-effect analysis systems
  • You will be confident, driven, an excellent communicator with a hands-on approach
  • Strong statistical and analytical skills, an excellent problem-solver with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
