Hours: 37.5

Salary: £39,000 to £48,000 Annum (DOE)

Overview of the role

As a member of the Quality Team, the H&S Officer will support with the management of health and safety across the organisation, working with colleagues to ensure a shared understanding and high standards of quality and safety. The H&S officer will carry out H&S audits across our services and offices; in addition, working with the property team to complete reviews around the companies operations, providing support to the services and the organisation’s teams to ensure compliance with H&S. The role involves travelling to the services for around 50% of the time with some overnight stays, therefore a driving license and access to a car is essential.

Key duties

Reporting to the Director of Quality and as a member of the Quality Team, the Health and Safety Officer will support the Director of Quality with the management of Health & Safety (H&S) across the organisation.
To assist other members of the organisation with H&S matters as required.
To work cohesively with the other members of the Quality Team to ensure a shared understanding and high standards of quality and safety.
To support, line manage and develop H&S Auditors

Personal attributes

Essential NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in Health & Safety or NEBOSH National Diploma Level 6.
Membership of a professional body such as IOSH
Drivers licence is a must as extensice driving will be required to visit our services
