Full Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a part time Health and Safety Advisor from our Head Quarters in Coventry.
Working 21 hours per week, ideally Monday to Friday, this role works alongside our facilities team and provides health and safety support across the business to ensure that the organisation can carry out its day-to-day tasks, in a safe and efficient way. We are looking for a proactive, motivated and customer focussed individual with previous experience in a similar role and a good understanding of both health and safety and compliance.

- Support the facilities team to implement and manage health and safety policies and procedures including the ongoing development of health and safety management systems
- Assist with both external and internal health & safety audits and ensure compliance
- Coordinate internal DSE assessors and the completion of DSE assessment documentation
- Attend health and safety committee meetings, taking minutes as required
- Maintain accurate and organised digital filing systems, ensuring all completed assessments comply with regulations
- Assist in the implementation and upkeep of documentation for Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Create, edit and format documents and reports
- Support the implementation of health and safety training
- Champion health and safety communications and interact with all other departments as requested to support Health and Safety document retention
- Previous experience working in a similar health & safety role, with an understanding of both health and safety and compliance
- High standard of interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with the demands of staff and external customers
- Experience of implementing policy and procedures
- Good level of knowledge in Microsoft applications
