If so, P&G is now looking for a Department Safety Leader to join our London Distribution Centre! As a Global organisation, Procter & Gamble, manufacture leading brands such as Ariel®, Fairy®, Lenor®, Gillette®, Oral-B®, Pampers® and many others, with the vision of touching and improving consumer’s lives across the world.
The Distribution Centre located at our London Plant in West Thurrock is our biggest DC in Europe! The site is highly automated and reasonable for shipping 95% of the P&G UK volume to UK customers. The role of the Department Safety Leader is to support and partner with the Operations Leader, ODM & Team Leaders, in implementing the site safety program in your area/department. This is achieved by being a champion of safety. You will lead and maintain a healthy safety programme within your area, ensuring HSE standards are in place, improved and maintained. Deliver all legal requirements in your area, and lead the company safety program in your department, supporting the operation in achieving the required results.
With us you will:
• Have full ownership of Safety within the Distribution Centre
• Report safety results in a timely manner
• Partner with the Operations Leader in delivering the department safety masterplan
• Maintain the team safety communication systems (e.g. DDS Board, Posters, etc.)
• Lead system health checks and create an action plan for outages
• Manage the safety inspection programme for the area, updating the inspections as required and reporting any outages
• Promote a culture of safety within the department
• Participate in any internal/external HSE audits
• Conduct Incident Elimination Daily Management System training
• Complete and review regularly all High-Risk tasks, ensuring full assessment and clear mitigation steps are put in place by Operations to ensure safety is the prime forcus
• Continually look for opportunities to enhance the safety service you deliver

Qualifications
Apply if you have:
• Good knowledge of HS&E external principals
• Demonstrated leadership and experience in similar distribution/warehousing environments
• Demonstrated people leadership abilities
• Minimum intermediate computer skills including basic Microsoft suite as well as Power BI or other analytical tools
• Collaboration and working effectively with others
• Good problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to multi-task, prioritize and stay organised
