We are looking for a Health and Safety Advisor to work embedded with one of our key clients, a global technology and e-commerce company, based in their London office.

The role will lead and maintain the client’s H&S management system and be the primary point of contact for H&S competent advice, support and co-ordination for their operations in Ireland and the Nordic Countries (Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark)

We are looking for someone driven, proactive and solutions focused. No prior knowledge of legislation in the Nordic countries is required and working closely with H&S colleagues within the Europe and MENA region, this is an excellent opportunity to develop an understanding of legislative requirements and their implementation in various international countries.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide health and safety competent advice, support and co-ordination for Ireland and Nordic Country (Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark) offices.
• Create and update Risk Assessments for corporate offices and activities carried out in their scope.
• Ensure health, safety and fire regulatory compliance for all offices in the Ireland and Nordic Country offices locations with special emphasis in Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans.
• Creation of operational health, safety and environment policies, statements and procedures, supporting the strategy to implement at an operational level.
• Assisting with the mobilization process for new sites, ensuring compliance and the client’s good practice requirements are implemented.
• Steer and attend all H&S Committee meetings in their area, assessing both, employee and employer representatives.
• Undertaking accident and incident investigations, including managing the local regulatory reporting requirements and any regulator involvement.
• Manage the claims management process and engagement with stakeholders aligned to the client processes.
• Providing competent responses to client queries and managing ad hoc support questions, with consideration of legislative requirements, best practice and client health and safety standards.
• Preparing and delivering to stakeholder’s essential EHS information, including data analysis and reports.
• Support the creation of EHS standards, signage package, user guides, training, local and regional processes.
• End-to-end project management of health and safety management system development/enhancement related projects.
• Work collaboratively with the client’s vendors/contractors to ensure effective and seamless service delivery, including significant engagement with the Facilities Management vendor and site visits where needed.
• Project Manage the contractual service delivery, including provision of reports and alignment to SLA’s and KPI’s as required.
• Implement all Global and EMEA EHS programs in the area.
• Providing support as required to the wider Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) local H&S professionals.
• Support Design and Construction works from the EHS standpoint
• Supervise and liaise with different stakeholders to ensure safety during events, both onsite and offsite.
• Support during internal / external audits and inspections from the Authorities.
• COVID management activities

Experience and Skills
• Level 6 H&S qualification (Graduate Diploma or equivalent)
• Experience in a H&S role with exposure to a broad spectrum of health and safety management systems
• Ireland H&S Legislation knowledge and experience in practical implementation
• Procedure, accident investigation and report writing experience
• Experience operating under an established Health & Safety Management System
• Liaison with a broad range of stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, including Senior Management
• Ability to present information in person and via video/audio conferencing
