Health and Safety Advisor

Carrowhugh recruitment is currently recruiting for a HSEQ Advisor to work in the London Region who Must have previous experience from a construction or closely related business. They Must have working knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001. We are working with a leading specialist construction group based in London who are seeking an ambitious HSEQ Advisor for exciting new projects across the London area.

Due to expansion a permanent position is available for an experienced HSEQ Advisor to join the company. You will report into the HSEQ Manager and will be an integral part of the team.

The role will have responsibility for ensuring Health & Safety compliance is of the highest standard. Candidates for this position will ideally have a proven background within Construction or a similarly related industry and possess a NEBOSH General / Construction qualification.

HSEQ Advisor Role & Responsibilities
• To assist the Group HSEQ Manager to introduce and maintain policies and best practice to ensure that the company and its clients are working in a safe manner
• Ensuring work is carried out with no undue effect on the environment and meeting all environmental and quality compliance obligations.
• To undertake efficient on-site inspections, reporting on compliance with each of the three standards with the intention to continually improve standards of performance.
• To provide exceptional Health & Safety advice, ensuring working practices are compliant across the business
• Supporting staff with their education in regard to health & safety and keeping relevant and up to documents via the management systems, which is certified to ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
• Oversee investigation into incidents and ensure resolution and improvements are implemented negating the situation from re occurring.
• Maintain and develop relationships with regulatory bodies and local stakeholders as needed, such as Local Authorities, HSE and Environmental Agency.
• You will be expected to be an effective communicator, show good administration skills and be conversant with applicable construction related legislation

Essential Knowledge/Skills required:
• Quality Management: ISO 9001:2015 – BSI FS641164
• Environmental Management: ISO 14001:2015 – BSI EMS641165
• Occupational Health & Safety: ISO45001:2018 – BSI OHS705531
• Construction Background
• Member of IOSH (desirable)
• Full UK Driving License

Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £40,000.00 per year
