The Swansea Bay University Health Board is a large organisation employing over 12,000 staff. It has large main hospitals located in the Swansea, and Port Talbot areas. There are a large number of sites, health centres, clinics, residential accommodation and support services accommodation including properties in Cardiff.
We are seeking to employ two competent Fire Safety Advisers to join our Health and Safety department. There is a broad diversity of building types such as large hospitals, small clinics, laboratories, offices and support services. The associated fire risks require that the successful candidate will have the ability to undertake fire risk assessments in these areas and give suitable advice on necessary remedial actions. Supporting our managers and staff in matters of fire safety as they affect the safety of our staff, patients, visitors and others that use our premises is a key part of the job. Maintaining and improving the skills of our managers and staff to minimise the risk of fire and to manage fire possible fire emergencies also forms an important element of the work.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
