How You’ll Help Us Connect The World

The EHS Engineer will support the EHS & Facilities Specialist in developing and maintaining CommScope’s Environmental, Health & Safety efforts in ensuring compliance with regulatory and company requirements and achieving ongoing continuous improvement of EH&S performance for the North Wales facility. The position will also support the development and implementation of the EH&S management system according to international standards ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. CommScope’s Environment and Health & Safety (EHS) strategy is an integral part of the company’s overall strategy. Responsibilities in this role include:

Maintain risk assessment schedule
Develop risk assessments as and when required
Support facilities in the management of contractors
To lead EHS activities on site
Lead all activities relating to Risk Management
To support the site audit and compliance program
To lead all activities relating to EHS Training
To manage processes relating to Management of Change
To maintain EHS compliance to corporate requirements
To support sustainability and environmental management program
To ensure EHS requirements have been considered for all new projects / installations
Administer CommScope’s EH&S Management System
Key Deliverables

Continue to drive Incident Rate to Zero as per Company performance metrics
Ensure Statutory regulations are met for new and existing requirements
Ensure energy and waste targets are achieved
Continuous Improve employee safety, health and wellbeing
Achieve targets and objectives within defined cost & resource budgets
Desired Qualifications

NEBOSH, or Level 3 IOSH/NVQ in Occupational Health & Safety

You Will Excite Us If You Have:

A Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma or an equivalent CI certification (TPM, WCM) Experience within an EHS role
Good communication skills
Recent experience within a Manufacturing Facility
Proven experience of continuous improvement initiatives
Exposure of facilities maintenance / management
