Vacancies have arisen for a Health and Safety Advisor covering WASTS All Wales estate on a fixed term period until 30 September 2022. (Working from home/nearest site with site visits undertaken as / when required.

We are looking for enthusiastic, highly motivated individual to join our pro-active team directly reporting to the Head of Health and Safety.

The post holder will “lead” on Health & Safety related advice and support in line with current regulation, legislation (including local Policy and Procedure), strategic objectives, priorities and target plans directly to Directorate Managers, Heads of Departments and other staff that have Health & Safety responsibility within the Directorate/s to which they have been allocated. They will provide support and motivation to all staff across all of the Trusts sites.

They will require strong motivational and persuasive skills and will help ensure compliance with legislation, standards, internal policies and procedures, operational procedures and safe systems of work

The successful candidates will hold a minimum of a NEBOSH General Diploma and have evidence of recent and relevant continuous professional development. The successful candidate will be expected to;
demonstrate excellent organisational and general management skills, and an ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
able to cope with a high workload and must be able to prioritise workload.
proficient at maintaining records and statistical information and converting information into required format for reports.
ability to work dynamically, unsupervised on own initiative and as part of a team.
The post holder will be expected to work on a Monday – Friday basis

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
