We are currently in the market looking to recruit a Head of HSE and Quality assurance to lead these functions across the Group in a national role covering all locations throughout the UK. The purpose of the job is to perform duties that will ensure effective management of the SHEQ compliance and legislative activities associated with the provision of Multi-Utility Infrastructure services undertaken by EAU. The individual will be responsible for ensuring that Energy Assets remains compliant with the relevant legislative policies and procedures and for ensuring there is continual improvement in the relevant affected areas.
Main Duties for this role:
Integrate health, safety and operational procedures within the EA Group
Ensuring EAU business complies and maintains its obligations under the Lloyd’s Register Schemes for Gas, Electric and Water currently known as GIRS, NERS and WIRS.
Provide safety, quality and environmental advice to EAU employees as appropriate, taking full responsibility to ensure correct working practices are followed at all times, applying direct intervention as required.
Manage the investigation of work related accidents, near misses, incidents and report on the findings.
Ensuring that you and your team take ownership of quality matters.
Responsible for all HSE & Compliance related matters with regards to EA and Contractors.
Development and maintenance of the required operational policies and procedures required to allow Energy Assets companies to effectively integrate and operate within the specialist areas.
Lead the Safety and Technical Competency process within EAU, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and group policies and procedures. To include construction, maintenance and production of management information to ensure visibility of data accuracy, manage effective audit process and ensure escalation of identified issues.
Environmental Legislation and best practice as it relates to company and individual responsibilities and duties.
Work towards the Company’s environmental targets and objectives and ensuring that work is carried out in harmony with, and in pursuance of, these
Manage the migration and integration of the diverse Quality Management Systems for ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO18001.
The post holder will represent the company both internally and externally, therefore should demonstrate the company values at all times – Integrity and respect, accountability, customer focused and safety first.
To be considered for this position you will have at least 3-5 years previous experience working within a senior management position. You will have an excellent working knowledge of Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Compliance requirements/UK Legislation and British Standards. You possess initiative and excellent problem solving skills with proactive approach to work. Proven time management skills, working to deadlines and possessing the ability to prioritise tasks and objectives are all essential criteria for the role.
