Safety Manager (Delaware North UK)

Delaware North UK is hiring for a Safety Manager to join our Wembley Stadium team. A day in the life of a Safety Manager

Works closely with the location leadership to agree and develop a clear direction for our food safety and health & safety risk management strategies, to support our business objectives.
Develops the strategy for how safety is integrated into the day-to-day operation.
Works in the business, alongside the operators, understands the challenges, needs and opportunities of the day-to-day operation.
Attends client safety reviews and commits to delivering on all required actions.
Manages the development and implementation of systems to continually improve the food safety and health & safety of our business operations.
In conjunction with the external consultancy, UK Head of Risk and Compliance and location general Manager sets food safety and health & safety targets and develop KPIs to monitor and evaluate performance against these targets.

What we’re looking for

Track record of responding quickly and professionally to reactive complaints and requests from within the business and from customers
Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and comfortable in a matrix management environment.
Track record in working across functions and delivering on projects and expectations.
Knowledge of food safety legislation in the area.
Food Safety Level 4 and HACCP
NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety; or
British Safety Council Level 6 Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health; or
City & Guilds Level 5 (NVQ) Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Practice; or
Technical Member of Institute of Occupational Safety and Health member or;
Equivalent qualification and experience
