A fantastic job opportunity has become available at St Helens College. We are seeking to appoint a dynamic self-starter to the role of Health, Safety and Environment Manager (HSE) to support the College with providing functional direction for all activities associated with HSE. This post will play an active role in the Health, Safety and Environment Committee, Estates and Environment Group and Wider Leadership Team.

 

The health, safety and welfare of all our staff, students, visitors and contractors is essential to us as we seek to become an employer of choice. This role requires a self-governing, independent thinking individual who is not afraid to challenge the status quo and who will establish, document, implement, maintain and continually improve the College’s Health, Safety and Environment management systems.

 

The successful candidate must be vigilant in protecting the environment, in accordance with current Health, Safety and Environment best practices, alignment with OHSAS 18001, ISO 45001 and relevant legislation and Codes of Practice.

 

This role incorporates leading on all College health and safety and environment strategies, in our ambition to become net zero by 2040.
