An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our rapidly expanding team as an Environmental Health & Safety Practitioner. This opportunity could also be suited to an individual who has relatively recently completed a Graduate programme, with a few years relevant work experience and is looking to progress within the electronics industry.
Main Responsibilities Include:
Development and ownership of EHS Systems
Analysis and reporting of EHS data and metrics, including Key Performance Indicators
Governance of non-conformance
EH&S induction materials preparation and delivery
Responsibility for ensuring action close out from non-conformances and complaints
Responsible for compliance with required standards, and knowledge of latest standards
Development and Management of Environmental impact and aspects
Site security systems and Fire Register
Certification audit leadership & liaison with external assessment bodies
Internal EHS audit leadership
EHS Risk Assessment/COSHH Assessment process management
Understanding customer specific HSE requirements and ensuring compliance
New Process Introduction liaison with Engineering & Quality for EHS considerations
Management Review preparation & follow up
Development, maintenance, and approval of HSE Policy, Manual and relevant processes & procedures
HSE training requirements for employees
Occupational Health liaison with external provider & HR
Management of HSE improvement plans
Management of HSE related issues with suppliers, internally or with customers
Undertake other project and leadership activities as required
Skills and Capabilities
We would be looking for the following attributes from our successful applicants:
Excellent communication skills for both internal team members & external with Customers & Suppliers
Proven ability to design & implement new systems with energy and enthusiasm whilst securing workforce support and buy in to initiatives and programmes
NEBOSH qualification in health, safety and environment, or a similar industry recognised qualification
Strong experience working as a H&S Advisor or equivalent
Experience implementing ISO management systems
Ability to work with, advise, train, and promote excellence in Health and Safety to all staff
Ability to engage internal and external stakeholders, including at a senior level
A Manufacturing or Engineering background an advantage
Previous environmental experience would be an advantage
