Our role

As an HSEQ Advisor, you will be part of the central HSEQ / Compliance Team but will be based within our Water contracts and will provide assistance / cover to neighbouring contracts. You will be responsible for promoting compliance throughout the business and for escalating all issues identified. You will also be responsible for ensuring employees are made aware of issues raised and for promoting compliance with our risk controls and documentation requirements.

 

Key responsibilities

You will monitor and enforce compliance with our risk controls to ensure standards are maintained and working closely with the Operational Teams to ensure that any issues are addressed immediately

You will be responsible for the delivery of reports / records, documentation, and trend related information from inspections / audits conducted by others e.g. depot inspections, agent inspections

You will be responsible for the completion of verification inspections and audits (e.g. HSEQ assurance audits and inspections to ensure standards are being maintained) and for monitoring the closure of audit and inspection findings / non-conformance(s)

You will provide guidance, assistance and direction during accident and incident investigations, and promoting good quality in relation to the content of the reports and the closure of corrective actions.

You will complete and encourage others to complete hazard reports

You will complete a weekly and monthly report in relation to achievements and issues identified

You will communicate and drive an efficient close out of corrective actions / non-conformances raised by the HSEQ / Compliance Department and external auditors

You will compile Accident/Incident Stats for the contracts you support and attend client meetings to support the Operations Team

You will work closely with the wider Operational Team to maintain strong relationships and improve processes / systems wherever possible

You will lead by example and strive to drive the correct safety behaviours on site, within depots and within our offices

You will support the Competence Assessment process wherever required.

You will provide assistance to the Quality Manager in relation to internal and external audits with the certification body as required (e.g. ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 audits)

 

Experience and Qualifications

H&S Qualification e.g. NEBOSH certificate (Minimum) or above

Full UK Driving License

Streetworks Qualification (desirable)

Environment Qualification (desirable)

Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence (desirable)

Water Hygiene (desirable)

Internal Auditor qualification (desirable)
