Are you ready for an interesting role, with plenty of variety in every day? Come and join the Office for Students (OfS) as an FM Assistant within our friendly Facilities Management (FM) team. Two roles are available, one full-time and one part-time, resulting from internal promotion/retirement.
As the independent regulator for the Higher Education sector in England, the OfS is an interesting place in which to put your skills into practice and develop them further. We are focused on ensuring the best possible outcomes for all students, and the FM team is at the heart of this work. Taking responsibility for the safe functioning of our campus and buildings, they enable OfS to get on with the important job of delivering even better opportunities for England’s students.
We’re proud of our people, our culture, and the benefits we offer. At the OfS we want to create a welcoming and engaging working environment which is free from discrimination. We particularly welcome applications from people with a disability or impairment, those who identify as lesbian, bisexual, gay or transgender, and those from a black, Asian and minority ethnic background, as these groups are under-represented within our workforce.
Job description
As an FM assistant, you will often be the face of the OfS for staff and visitors to our Bristol site, taking on a variety of duties to ensure that our offices, facilities, and equipment are operating safely and effectively. From handling front-of-house services and setting up meeting rooms through to addressing potential health and safety issues, you will be part of a team who are passionate about their work. This means every day will present you with a range of challenges, and you will have the scope to work closely with colleagues from all departments.
