Health and Safety Officer (Cotswold Company)

The Cotswold Company is recruiting for an exciting new role as Health and Safety Officer!

The job holder will be required to support the business on all aspects with regards to health and safety.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

· Management and continuous improvement of Health and Safety across all UK sites

· Direct responsibility for Health & Safety of all employees and visitors at all UK sites

· Investigating incidents, accidents and any Health and Safety complaints company wide

· Writing, publishing, and maintaining internal Health and Safety policies/strategies

· Liaising with relevant authorities and sub-contractors where necessary

Essential

Minimum of three years’ experience in a similar Health and Safety Role

NEBOSH Certificate or working towards

Team Focused

Strong Attention to Detail

Full UK Driving License

The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to identify and resolve risk, with a pro-active approach to continuous improvement.

Primarily based at our Lichfield Warehouse, the job holder will also be required to travel throughout the companies locations, including the Retail and new Warehouse locations as these open.

It is desirable for applicants to hold a NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma, or actively be working towards this. and be a member of Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
