Our work is key in ensuring that the systems and equipment used by front-line command meet design intent and are safe to operate, whilst minimising environment impact. In these unique roles, you will have safety and/or environmental responsibilities relating to the supply and equipment across all phases of project lifecycles, as well as providing subject matter expertise to ensure that existing systems and equipment undergoing change remain safe to operate and environmentally sound.
Please be advised that due to security, these roles are reserved for sole UK nationals only. Please also note that some of these roles will require the successful applicant to undergo DV clearance once in the post.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of these posts may include, but not be limited to the following:
- Reviewing and analysing new and existing safety and/or environmental documentation, including safety case reports, and safety and environmental management plans
- Advise relevant personnel on safety and/or environmental matters
- Represent the business at change meetings, plus safety and/or environmental related working groups, committees and other meetings
What you will be assessed against
To be successful with your application you must demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria:
- Hold a HNC (e.g., Level 4 or higher) qualification in a relevant engineering or science discipline, or have equivalent relevant experience
- Have experience in the use systems safety/environmental management tools & processes
- Have provision of safety or environmental technical advice
