We’re looking for a Contracts and Compliance Manager to join us here at Bristol Airport on a 12-month FTC.

Reporting into our Head of Engineering and working closely with our Engineering department; the role of our Contracts and Compliance Manager is to proactively manage all of our infrastructure support contracts across the business. An integral roles in our business; you’ll ensure compliance with specified standards are maintained at all times and that Bristol Airport’s contractual position is always preserved.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

You’ll monitor both the suitability of contracts, and contractors’ performance; continuously against contractual KPIs. Reviewing and assessing these against the growing needs of the business and negotiating and implementing changes as required
You’ll analyse our contractor’s performances to identify and address any potential issues before they expose the business to Financial, Compliance, and/or Health and Safety risk
Consistently review the scope, nature, and financial elements of all contracts, to ensure best value for the business at all times
Manage our tender processes to ensure robust and commercially viable contracts are in place to hold our suppliers accountable for their contractual obligations
Oversee FM service contracts under direct management of the airport; ensuring both quality and compliance standards are achieved in accordance with the contract and current legislative requirements
You’ll review and issue all formal servicing contract documentation through formal renewal meetings and processes as set out by contractual priorities
Through regular auditing and monitoring processes you’ll identify any issues, or shortfalls in relation to the execution of compliance standards and ensure that all remedial actions are fully recorded, acted upon, evidenced & closed out appropriately
Continue to develop all CAFM software systems; ensuring maximum benefit is derived from their implementation, making recommendations for further improvements when needed
You’ll provide detailed reports on all FM contracts to senior managers as required
You’ll manage OPEX expenditure for all service contracts in line with budgets and associated processes, whilst identifying areas for improved cost efficiency where possible
You’ll assist our Head of Engineering & Technical Infrastructure with CAPEX planning and prioritisation processes through the production of formal condition and PPM schedule reports
Continue to develop and maintain the Engineering Departmental Risk Register and undertake ownership for any follow-up actions associated with internal or external audits e.g. terminal fire risk assessments
Provide effective and supportive line management to the Engineering Coordinator.

ABOUT YOU:

We’re looking for the following

Significant experience managing in-house and out-sourced Facilities Management in mechanical and engineering contracts
Strong literacy and numeracy skills, ICT literate and fully competent in all MS Office applications
A sound understanding of support contracts and associated contract law
Excellent knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and best practice – e.g. NEBOSH or other equivalent accreditation
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
The ability to build strong, professional relationships with stakeholders and colleagues; with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally at all levels
