Technical Compliance Officer (Platform Housing Group)

We are currently looking for a Technical Compliance Advisor (Fire Safety) to join our Property directorate on a permanent basis.

This is a part time opportunity working 25 hours per week and has a part time salary of up to £30,359 per annum (depending on experience).

This is a new additional role within our expanding Building Safety team where you will be providing technical fire safety advice, guidance, and support to ensure the Group is compliant to all relevant legislation, statutory duties, and governance standards regarding Fire Safety.

We want somebody who has:

• 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English at Grade C or above
• Level 4 Diploma in Fire Safety and/or Level 4 certificate in fire science and fire safety
• Professional membership of IFE/IFSM or similar
• Proven experience of working for a Housing Association or similar organisation to provide fire risk management advice, support and auditing of premises including high risk residential premises.
• Proven experience of working within a Fire service, HSE or similar authority, providing fire safety advice and regulatory enforcement.
• Experience of engaging with a wide range of Group contractors, consultants, and agencies to ensure fire compliance
• Experience working in an advisory capacity and providing technical advice on a wide range of building safety fire issues
• Ability to access loft spaces to survey properties as a regular part of the job

  While this role is home based, you should have the ability to travel to Group offices and sites across our properties, therefore a full driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle would be essential to the role.
