We are looking to speak to pragmatic Health and Safety & Training Managers who are looking to take full ownership of Health and Safety within a manufacturing site in Newport!
ou will be responsible for all things health and safety, and training, such as:
· Carrying out regular inspections to conduct risk assessments, checking all policies and procedures are being implemented correctly; identifying areas for improvement
· Outline safe operational procedures which identify and consider all relevant hazards
· Conducting safety meetings to coach the wider organisation on Health & Safety Management Systems, policies, Emergency Response Plan, and site related safety documents.
· Lead in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks
· Recording and reporting on all incidents and accidents
· Identifying training and development needs within the organisation through job analysis, appraisal schemes and regular meetings with Line Managers, including individual learning plans
· Designing and delivering all Health & Safety training programmes; inductions, individual development plans, compliance and competency-based training – classroom, 1:1 and e-Learning.
What we are looking for from you:
· NEBOSH qualification (or equivalent)
· IOSH membership
· Previous Health and Safety experience within manufacturing environment
· A pragmatic approach to working
· Ability to build strong working relationships with people in all areas of the organisation
