Health & Safety & Estates Coordinator (Somerset House Trust)

Somerset House Trust are seeking someone to join our Estates team with a primary focus on supporting Health and Safety for the team and across the estate, promoting high standards and improving the quality of documentation, training and communication for the business.

The role will also assist with estates and facilities management, coordinating contractors, supporting management of utilities, office management and carrying our regular maintenance checks of the building. You will also help support the Trust’s sustainability objectives.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Significant experience in a role supporting Health & Safety and Estates/Facilities Management processes, ideally in a heritage and/or complex multi-disciplined estate.
  • Experience supporting the organisation and delivery of H&S training and evacuation drills
  • Experience collating and analysing H&S statistics, identifying any required actions
  • Experience coordinating contractors and managing administration of safety information for accredited suppliers
  • Supported financial processes for a team or department, including raising purchase orders and monitoring spend
  • NEBOSH general certificate (desirable)
  • IOSH Managing Safely (desirable)
  • Up to date knowledge of current Health and Safety regulations and practises

Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: £30,000 per annum, plus 8% pension contributions
