The Health and Safety Advisor will work with the Director of HR and other key stakeholders in developing and implementing the University’s Health and Safety strategy/policy and operational delivery. You will play a key role in the delivery of the University’s health and safety management system, including delivering training, undertaking risk assessments and preparing inspection and audit reports.

You must be able to apply your skills, knowledge and experience to a broad range of health and safety and fire safety challenges consistent with a higher education environment.

The post requires that you will have excellent relationship building and communication skills to engage positively with academic and professional services and students. You will also be able to communicate to colleagues clearly, in plain English in writing and in person to stakeholders across the University. Attention to detail and accurate, meticulous record keeping is important.
