Full Job Description

Bailey Employment Services Ltd are looking to recruit a Part-Time Health & Safety Officer for a family run, well established business in Holme-on-Spalding-Moor. This is a Permanent position with a well established and growing business.Requirements:

NEBOSH Certificate is essential
Experience in a similar role is essential
IOSH membership is desirable
An element of flexibility for working hours in case of emergency is essential
Knowledge of Health and safety and its application to business and industry
Own transport due to remote location is essential
Desire and ability to learn/progress
Excellent communication and IT skills with a can-do attitude

Salary and benefits:

Working 20 hours per week
Flexibility to working hours between 6.30am to 5.30pm, 5 out of 7 days a week to meet yours and the business needs

Opportunity of career progression to full time hours, covering the Northern ireland site also (this is optional progression and subject to proven capabilities in the role within the business

Responsibilities:

Ensuring the Senior team and Line Managers receive expert advice, training and guidance on H&S Policies
Ensuring safe Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments
Completing regular site audits, making corrections and updating risk assessments where necessary
Investigate Incidents / Accidents and compile reports on near misses and trends
Communicate with external organisations such as insurance claims investigation teams
Look to continually improve the health and safety across the business
Maintain and monitor policies and procedures

  • Hourly rate as above (not age dependent)
  • 28 days Paid Annual Leave pro-rata for PAYE (inclusive of statutory holiday)
