Full Job Description
This is a pivotal role in our Property Services team to support our new operating model.
In this role you will manage all aspects of Health & Safety (H&S) and Building Compliance within the UK, ensuring we meet all environmental and legal regulatory requirements across our UK property portfolio of 16 sites. Reporting to the Group Head of Property Services and providing monthly dashboard reports you will support in the development and achievement of the Bank’s strategic and operational objectives.
This role will be based in Chatham, Kent or Wolverhampton but will involve travel across all of our sites.
What you will be doing:
- Develop and maintain the Health and Safety management systems ensuring compliance with all statutory legislation and regulations are met throughout the UK portfolio. Implementing procedures and processes that support our premises, colleagues and customers.
- Manage and conduct the H&S assessments, communicating, and effect authorised corrective action recommendations and ensure all appropriate files, records, licences and policies are kept up to date.
- Monitor and manage the H&S delivery, reporting the monthly KPI’s status to the business.
- Log and conduct incident and accident investigations when required to prevent a reoccurrence, compliance and for continuous improvements.
- Lead and manage the delivery of H&S and building compliance through associated training, quarterly town hall sessions and e-learning.
- Conduct quarterly building compliance and H&S audits and risk assessments for all UK premises.
- Manage and maintain the ISO 450001 and 140001 accreditations.

- Proven experience in a Compliance, Health & Safety management role is essential.
- Demonstrated experience in senior stakeholder management is essential.
- Verified experience in managing 3rd party service providers / contractors is essential.
- Proven experience within an Environmental management role is desirable.
