Global safety solutions leader Ansell Limited has announced the opening of its second Ansell Xperience & Innovation Studio (AXIS) near Coimbra, Portugal, expanding its collaborative research and development footprint across Europe.
Accelerating EHS solutions through hands-on innovation
Following the launch of its initial US centre in Alpharetta, Georgia, AXIS Portugal addresses rapidly evolving workplace risks, shifting industry standards and emerging technology needs to help businesses stay ahead.
The new European facility is an immersive place for collaboration, offering visitors expert-led education, live demos and tests with simulated hazards, and the opportunity to co-create practical and scalable solutions with Ansell’s own specialists.
Located close to Ansell’s Portugal manufacturing plant, the hub offers EHS professionals the opportunity to gain first-hand insights into PPE production process alongside real world testing environments.
Bridging the gap between design and deployment
Nathalie Ahlström, CEO of Ansell, states the expansion reflects an ongoing effort to strengthen research capabilities, adopt new technologies and address real safety challenges directly with clients. She notes Axis Portugal will “combine Ansell’s global expertise with hands-on learning and real-word testing to help shape safer workplaces for the future.”
