Best Warehouse Health and Safety Software

Warehouses and distribution centers combine very complex HSE challenges; forklift and pedestrian interaction, loading docks, damaged racking, manual handling, conveyor systems, PPE requirements, fire protection equipment, housekeeping and a workforce operating across multiple shifts all need effective risk management and control.

The warehouse sector also continues to record a higher occupational injury burden. The benchmark research supplied for this guide reports 4.8 recordable cases per 100 full-time workers in warehousing and storage during 2024, compared with 2.3 across private industry, while forklifts remain associated with both fatalities and large numbers of days-away, restricted or transferred cases.

This demand has given rise to EHS software with increasing applicability in warehouses. Some platforms provide complete EHS management environments covering incidents, inspections, training, corrective actions, chemical management and compliance. Others concentrate on mobile inspections and frontline reporting. A third category uses AI computer vision to identify unsafe conditions and behaviors through warehouse camera infrastructure.

This guide compares eight platforms across those different use cases, with particular attention paid to independent customer reviews rather than vendor marketing claims alone.

Customer review ratings and counts were checked on 30 October 2026.

What should warehouse safety software actually do?

The correct functionality of warehouse safety software depends on the problems an organization is trying to solve. A set up moving from paper inspection sheets may primarily need digital forklift checks, racking inspections, fire-extinguisher records, corrective actions and an audit trail. A larger distribution network may need a much broader EHS environment capable of managing incidents, training, regulatory records, observations, chemical safety, compliance actions and performance reporting across dozens or hundreds of sites.

Computer vision addresses another problem entirely. Rather than relying on workers or supervisors to submit observations, AI systems can analyze video to identify configured risks including forklift and pedestrian interactions, PPE issues, unsafe lifting, speeding, blocked routes and restricted-area breaches.

The source article correctly separates several of these approaches, ranging from enterprise EHS suites to AI monitoring and specialist inspection tools.

Independent customer review comparison

Independent reviews are particularly useful in this market because they expose issues that are difficult to see from feature pages, including implementation complexity, mobile usability, reporting limitations, customer support and the amount of configuration required after purchase.

Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice form the Gartner Digital Markets network. Where those properties contain overlapping review populations, HSE Network has used the largest clean Capterra pool rather than adding all three together.

The largest review population belongs to Mitti, formerly SafetyCulture, followed by VelocityEHS, Intelex and EHS Insight. That gives buyers much more customer evidence to work with than is available for newer AI systems such as Protex AI.

Review volume should still be interpreted alongside relevance. Protex has only eight current G2 reviews, but those reviews relate directly to the AI safety product. Some large EHS review populations cover many different modules and industries.

1. VelocityEHS

Best for: Enterprise EHS management across multi-site warehouse operations

VelocityEHS is one of the broadest platforms in this comparison. Its Accelerate environment covers safety, ergonomics, chemical management, operational risk and other EHS functions, making it suitable for organizations that want warehouse safety to sit inside a much larger corporate risk-management system.

Its Safety solution includes incident reporting, near misses, hazard identification, investigations, corrective actions, OSHA recordkeeping, inspections, audits, observations, training and compliance management. The platform also incorporates mobile and QR-code workflows, which can make reporting and access easier at warehouse-floor level.

For large warehouse and logistics groups, the attraction is breadth. A single environment can potentially connect incidents, training records, ergonomic risks, chemical information and corrective actions across multiple facilities.

A warehouse that mainly wants digital forklift inspections may find that it is evaluating considerably more software than it actually needs.

What do VelocityEHS reviews say?

VelocityEHS currently has 4.4/5 from 186 G2 reviews and 4.5/5 from 166 Capterra reviews.

Positive G2 themes include ease of use, quick access to SDS information, centralized records and customer support. Reviewers also value the breadth of available EHS functions.

Negative feedback is more concentrated around navigation, inconsistent user experience between modules, support response times, customization and cost. Capterra reviews similarly include concerns about reporting limitations, price and dependence on additional Accelerate functionality.

Weighted review figure: 4.45/5 from 352 ratings/reviews used.

The scale of the review population is a strength, although it represents the broader VelocityEHS environment rather than warehouse operations alone.

2. Mitti, formerly SafetyCulture

Best for: Mobile inspections, checklists and frontline adoption

SafetyCulture was renamed Mitti in August 2026. The company states that the underlying platform, data, integrations and customer workflows continued through the rebrand.

For buyers searching for SafetyCulture or iAuditor, the current product should therefore be evaluated under the Mitti name.

The platform remains particularly strong around mobile inspections and frontline workflows. Warehouse-specific templates cover areas including docks, aisles, racking, fire safety, forklift operations, housekeeping, PPE and training, while inspection findings can generate actions and reports.

The current Mitti platform has expanded beyond inspections into training, assets, task management and broader frontline operations.

For warehouses moving away from paper inspection forms, this creates one of the lowest-friction entry points in the comparison.

What do Mitti and SafetyCulture reviews say?

The review footprint is the largest of any product in this guide.

G2 currently shows 4.6/5 from 472 reviews, Capterra shows 4.6/5 from 356 reviews, and Gartner Peer Insights shows 4.8/5 from two ratings.

Positive themes include mobile ease of use, customizable inspection templates, digital reporting, action tracking and customer support.

Capterra reviewers also provide a useful view of the limitations. Recurring concerns include permissions, advanced workflow flexibility, reporting customization, occasional syncing lag, differences between mobile and web functionality and pricing as teams scale.

Weighted review figure: 4.60/5 from 830 ratings/reviews used.

This is the strongest combination of review volume and frontline inspection relevance in the comparison.

3. EHS Insight

Best for: Logistics and warehouse EHS management with compliance depth

EHS Insight has one of the clearest warehouse-specific propositions among the traditional EHS platforms.

Its current logistics and supply-chain product information explicitly covers warehouses, distribution centers, fleets and terminals. Warehouse functionality includes pre-shift forklift inspections, dock audits, ergonomic risk assessments, near-miss reporting, OSHA recordkeeping, training management and SDS access. Mobile workflows are designed to function offline where warehouse Wi-Fi coverage is inconsistent.

That makes EHS Insight a useful middle ground between lightweight inspection software and very large enterprise EHS suites.

It can support routine floor-level workflows while also managing incidents, corrective actions, training and regulatory information across a larger logistics network.

What do EHS Insight reviews say?

EHS Insight currently has 4.6/5 from 83 G2 reviews and 4.4/5 from 59 Capterra reviews.

Reviewers frequently praise the ability to centralize safety data, customize forms, manage incidents and training and report directly from mobile devices.

The main areas of criticism are implementation and configuration effort, workflow limitations and support access. Some reviewers report that customization can require more effort than initially expected, while others would like improvements to training compliance tracking, reporting and direct support channels.

Weighted review figure: 4.52/5 from 142 ratings/reviews used.

The review evidence concerns EHS Insight generally, but its explicit logistics product positioning makes it particularly relevant for this comparison.

4. Protex AI

Best for: Warehouse computer vision and proactive risk detection

Protex AI addresses a different problem from conventional EHS management software.

Its warehouse platform connects to existing cameras and applies computer vision to identify patterns and configured risks across workers, vehicles, equipment and the facility environment.

Warehouse use cases include vehicle and worker near misses, speed monitoring, PPE, intersection analysis, ergonomics, restricted areas, housekeeping and space utilization. Protex also connects safety information with operational systems including WMS, EHS, TMS, MES and CMMS platforms.

Its architecture uses on-site edge processing, with privacy controls designed to avoid unnecessary transfer of identifiable video information.

For a warehouse safety team whose main visibility problem is that supervisors cannot continuously observe every aisle, dock and forklift interaction, the technology solves a fundamentally different problem from a checklist platform.

What do Protex AI reviews say?

Protex AI currently has 4.8/5 from eight G2 reviews.

The review population is small, but the comments are highly relevant to the actual product.

Users praise continuous visibility, actionable safety insights, the use of existing cameras, dashboards and the relationship with the Protex team. Reviewers describe moving from periodic manual observations toward more continuous leading-indicator data.

The limitations are equally useful. Reviewers mention false alerts in some ergonomic applications, the effort required to select camera views at large sites, internal IT requirements and the need for individual sites to actually act on the information the platform generates.

Review figure: 4.80/5 from eight G2 reviews.

The score is high, but the sample is too small to compare directly with products that have hundreds of reviews.

5. MyMomentum

Best for: Lean safety teams wanting straightforward EHS administration

MyMomentum is a cloud-based mobile EHS platform designed to automate safety-program administration, organize documentation and give management greater visibility over program activity.

It is important to qualify its position in this article.

The source article described MyMomentum as a warehouse-specific platform. Current primary product material positions it more broadly as EHS safety management software rather than a warehouse-only system.

That does not make it irrelevant to warehouses. Features such as inspections, incident reporting, observations, compliance calendars and dashboards can clearly support distribution and industrial operations. It simply means buyers should assess it as a general EHS platform with warehouse applications rather than a dedicated warehouse product.

What do MyMomentum reviews say?

MyMomentum currently has 4.8/5 from 16 Capterra reviews, with ease of use at 4.8 and customer service at 4.9.

Customer support is the most consistent positive theme. Reviewers also praise the breadth of functions, dashboard visibility, inspection workflows and the relative simplicity of the platform.

Negative feedback includes mobile usability limitations, difficulties adding multiple photographs during inspections, internet dependence, the effort required to train users across numerous locations and requests for additional detail in driver-management functions.

Many of the Capterra reviews were vendor-referred and incentivized. That does not invalidate the reviews, but it is relevant context when assessing the evidence.

Review figure: 4.80/5 from 16 Gartner Digital Markets reviews.

6. InspectNTrack

Best for: Forklift, racking and safety-equipment inspections

InspectNTrack has one of the clearest specialist warehouse use cases in the list.

The platform uses barcode-driven digital inspections to manage assets including forklifts, powered industrial trucks, racking, fire extinguishers, ladders and other safety equipment. Inspectors can scan an item, complete the relevant checklist, attach photographs and notes, record deficiencies and maintain a searchable inspection history.

This makes the product particularly relevant where the main problem is not enterprise-wide EHS management but ensuring that hundreds or thousands of recurring equipment inspections actually happen and can be demonstrated afterwards.

One G2 reviewer working in warehousing specifically describes using InspectNTrack for fire extinguishers, eyewash equipment, forklifts and warehouse racks, replacing Excel-based processes.

What do InspectNTrack reviews say?

InspectNTrack currently has 4.6/5 from five G2 reviews and 4.3/5 from 56 Capterra reviews.

Positive themes include reduced paperwork, barcode scanning, inspection efficiency, equipment tracking and responsive support.

Criticism includes report complexity, data importing and cleanup, occasional software glitches and limitations around user-management permissions.

Weighted review figure: 4.32/5 from 61 ratings/reviews used.

The rating is lower than some general EHS platforms, but the reviews are unusually relevant to the warehouse inspection use case.

7. Safesite

Best for: Simple multilingual frontline safety management

Safesite is a mobile-first safety platform covering inspections, hazards, incident reporting, safety meetings, observations, corrective actions, training records and safety performance reporting.

The current platform supports offline working and English, Spanish, French and Portuguese, making it particularly relevant for warehouse operations with multilingual frontline workforces.

Its position is closer to SafetyCulture/Mitti than to Protex or Intenseye. The value lies in making everyday safety activities easier to complete and track rather than automatically observing warehouse behavior through cameras.

For organizations that need a relatively accessible way to digitize inspections, hazards and safety meetings, that simplicity can be an advantage.

What do Safesite reviews say?

Safesite currently has 4.5/5 from six G2 reviews and 4.7/5 from 74 Capterra reviews. Capterra reports ease of use at 4.7 and customer service at 4.9.

Positive reviews focus on ease of use, checklists, safety-task assignment, hazard tracking, regulatory documentation and mobile access.

Reported drawbacks include subscription cost at larger scale, integration issues, limits around customization and occasional technical glitches.

Weighted review figure: 4.69/5 from 80 ratings/reviews used.

The review evidence is strong for the size of the product, although much of it comes from construction and general safety rather than warehousing specifically.

8. Intenseye

Best for: AI hazard detection across large warehouses and distribution centers

Intenseye is the second major computer-vision platform in this comparison.

Its dedicated warehousing and distribution product is designed to identify serious risks across forklift lanes, docks, aisles, conveyors, sortation areas and warehouse storage environments.

Current use cases include forklift-pedestrian interaction, blocked exits, housekeeping, PPE, falls, loading docks, ladders, conveyors and ergonomic risks. The platform can also issue warnings or integrate with machine controls for selected applications.

Unlike conventional EHS platforms, Intenseye’s core value lies in continuous observation.

A safety team may conduct excellent audits and inspections but still only see a small fraction of the interactions occurring across a busy distribution center. Computer vision creates a larger dataset of potentially unsafe events from which the team can identify patterns and target interventions.

What do Intenseye reviews say?

Intenseye currently has 4.6/5 from 71 G2 reviews.

The review evidence is particularly useful because several users explicitly discuss warehouse and industrial monitoring.

Positive themes include proactive hazard identification, useful insights, customer support, implementation assistance and the ability to monitor large areas continuously. One reviewer specifically describes monitoring expansive warehouse spaces, storage compliance, housekeeping and interactions with industrial trucks.

The main drawbacks are the effort required to configure and tune detections, high initial alert volumes, false positives, integration gaps and dependence on good camera positioning. Reviewers also note that alerts still require time to review and act upon.

Review figure: 4.60/5 from 71 G2 reviews.

That gives Intenseye a significantly larger independent review population than Protex AI at the time checked.

What should buyers look for?

For warehouse operators, the most useful first question is not which platform has the highest review score. It is which part of the safety-management process currently has the largest visibility or control gap.

If routine inspections are being missed or stored on paper, mobile inspection functionality should be the priority.

If incidents, near misses, training and corrective actions are fragmented across multiple systems, a broader EHS platform may produce greater value.

If the organization already has reasonable processes but lacks visibility into what is happening between inspections, computer vision becomes more relevant.

Forklift safety deserves particular attention. Buyers should establish whether the platform can support pre-use inspections, near-miss reporting, pedestrian interaction, speed risks and corrective actions rather than treating “forklift safety” as one feature.

The same applies to racking, loading docks, housekeeping and emergency routes.

Mobile usability should also be tested with the people who will actually use the system. Warehouse workers and supervisors are less likely to engage with a workflow that requires too many steps, unreliable connectivity or repeated office-based data entry.

The independent reviews repeatedly reinforce this point. Ease of use is one of the strongest positive themes across Mitti, Safesite, MyMomentum, VelocityEHS and InspectNTrack, while complicated navigation and workflows feature prominently among criticisms of several enterprise systems.

Review methodology

Review ratings and counts were checked on 30 October 2026.

Sources researched included G2, Capterra, GetApp, Software Advice, Gartner Peer Insights and other relevant independent review sources.

Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice are part of Gartner Digital Markets. Where those properties appear to represent overlapping review populations, the largest clean Capterra pool has been used rather than adding review counts together.

Weighted review figures use the formula:

Σ (published rating × ratings/reviews used) ÷ total ratings/reviews used

Cross-platform review duplication cannot always be identified. The totals therefore represent ratings and reviews used in the calculation, not guaranteed unique customers.

Review aggregations are not proprietary product scores and have not been used alone to determine editorial recommendations.

Where a product has a small independent review population, sample size has been explicitly considered. Vendor case studies and customer testimonials have not been added to independent star-rating calculations.

Product functionality changes over time. Buyers should confirm current features, integrations, pricing, privacy controls and implementation requirements directly with shortlisted suppliers.
